Susan Emmanouilidis, Founding Choral Director and Conductor
Susan Emmanouilidis founded Brookline A Cappella in October, 2011. As the ensemble's conductor, Susan has auditioned and blended an array of vocal talents for performances throughout the greater Boston area. Now in its 11th year, Susan has led her group through formal concerts as well as performances at local nursing homes, veteran's associations and community events.
Susan recently retired from teaching and conducting at The Rivers School in Weston, MA where she directed The Rivers Men's, Women's, and Combined Choruses. She, along with several colleagues in the Performing Arts Department, helped to establish the The Rivers Conservatory Program, an after-school program for Rivers students who, as highly motivated and talented musicians, participate in advanced music courses. In this program, Susan led the gold-winning CP Vocal Ensemble, Vocal Performance Class, Solfege and the Conservatory Chorus. Susan has traveled to Italy and France, as well as various placed in the US to sing in unique choral settings. She is a singer and board member of Jameson Singers, a 60 singer chorus based in Belmont, MA |
